When you’re on vacation, the last thing you want to focus on is working out. Vacation is for relaxing, letting loose, treating yourself, and just having a good ol’ time. However, there are a few essentials that we can’t go without.

Let’s face it, while treating ourselves makes us happy, working out and eating well makes us feel good, too! Forget long runs or heavy-lifting gym sessions, but try to sneak in some 10-minute hotel room workouts. Forget meal prep or diet regime and focus on having cheat meals instead of full cheat days. And, bringing your favourite fitness essentials will make you feel a little more at home.

Like we’ve said in the past, you should NEVER feel guilty. It’s hard, we know. Fitness is kind of like therapy, but we can’t let it consume us. It’s called vacation for a reason. The best thing to know is that you can’t unravel months worth of work in a couple of days.

Oh, look. We’re back to balance. Yea, you drink that double margarita, but have a salad with lean protein for dinner. Would you rather eat you calories than drink them? Have some fries and a burger with a water or a vodka soda. Trust us, there are ways to make it work. It’s like, having your cake and eating it, too… the #fitgirl way.

Booty Bands

Booty bands weigh way less than a pound and are great for packing. These resistance bands can be used to work your legs, booty, abs, and even arms. You can pretty much use them as a quick total body toning circuit. Every morning, do 10-minutes of a banded workout. Bars

Snacks or meal replacements will do here. We love a good well-rounded protein bar that will sustain us for multiple hours. If you are trying to stay lean for a special outfit, this tip is key. One, this is way cheaper and two, makes more time for activities. What do we look for in the perfect bar? Carbs, protein, and fats, while dealing with whole ingredients.
